The quality of the materials is superb. The concept is both modern and venerable at the same time. It's really a top notch item. I got a lot of enjoyment out of the process of taking pinhole photos, and it is super educational, too.
Would absolutely order again!
I built this kit with for 7 evenings with my 6 year old, each session was 10-15 minutes. So much fun!
Malfunction since the beginning and help center useless to help... such a waste of money....
I purchased a Joylook from Germany and sent it to Japan as a souvenir. It was delivered to the address within 1 week after order. I built it up with my siblings and took many pictures while we had a family meeting. We were all curious about the mechanism of the nostalgic camera and amused it. Thanks!
Very friendly and responsive service. Highly recommended
It works well, I had installed something incorrectly on my DIY camera!
I had very fast support and excellent customer service!
Takes great pictures and seems really durable! My son and I had a great time putting this camera together! Makes a great gift!
You can tell the engineers involved in the making of this camera knew their stuff and thoroughly worked through every step. A great project to take on with the kids or for an older kid with a little model building experience. The photo quality is suprisingly good for what it is and the satisfaction you get from taking pictures with a camera you built yourself is great.
That was my first manual camera and I enjoy creating photos instead of just making them by phone. Moreover, building the camera yourself first and then it works is incredible!)
Two years ago, i tried to make my own instax development/ejection mechanism. €70 in instant film + assorted other materials later, and I couldn’t reliably eject/develop a photo if at all.
When I found this mechanism, it reignited my interest in making this camera work. 90 minutes after it arrived, my previously terrible camera was working beautifully.
Two weeks later, I tore apart the previous camera to make a slit-scan version (which is Super Fun)
Probably could have just bought another of these mechanisms…
The assembly was fun and quite easy to do, learning to shoot is a much longer road to go by. I love that this beautifully looking camera combines the vintage looks, the materials and the modern developing (instax mini). This camera is pure motivation to learn to take better pictures. Much more fun yet harder to learn than my DSLR.
I gave this to myself for Christmas. I am amazed at the quality of the parts and look forward to assembling and experimenting with my new pinhole camera.
My friend is a photographer, and I think this will be a perfect present for him.
The gears fail at the beginning, but they send me a full gear replacement, really fast, and without any additionaly cost. Im so pleased with the customer care.
Thank you for making a great product. Stay safe.
