Meet the New Jollylook Instant Wide Film Development Unit

We’re excited to announce the launch of the Jollylook Instant Wide Film Development Unit - a compact, fully mechanical solution for developing Fujifilm Instax Wide instant film without batteries, electronics, or complicated mechanisms.

Designed for photographers, DIY enthusiasts, makers, and anyone experimenting with custom instant photography, the unit gives you a simple and reliable way to develop an exposed Instax Wide sheet by hand.

How does it work?

After taking a photo, simply insert the exposed Instax Wide film into the development unit and turn the hand crank. The mechanical roller system pulls the film through the unit and evenly spreads the developing chemicals across the film, allowing your instant photo to develop.

There are no batteries or electronics involved — just a precision mechanical mechanism and a hand crank.

Built for creative projects

The Instant Wide Film Development Unit is especially useful for DIY instant cameras, custom camera builds, pinhole cameras, and experimental photography projects. It can also be a practical solution for makers who want to create their own Instax Wide camera systems.

Its compact construction measures approximately 130 × 120 × 20 mm, making it easy to integrate into different DIY setups without taking up much space.

The unit works with Fujifilm Instax Wide film, producing the familiar 108 × 86 mm instant photo format.

Whether you're building a camera from scratch, adapting a vintage camera, or simply looking for a more hands-on way to work with instant film, this development unit puts the process back into your hands.
