Hello, Beautiful People of The Jollylook Community!

Thank you for backing Jollylook!

The Jollylook story is much longer than we expected, and yes, today there will be more text than usually.

The complexity of product development was only one of the many difficulties we had:

Development, organizing components manufacturing and camera production in China, transfer of production to Ukraine, corrections and alterations, solution of logistics problems, search for additional financing, product improvement, premises preparation, personnel training, equipment purchase and manufacturing, shipping.

My son 17 years old is a college student and works as a software developer in a university laboratory to earn money from his needs, a few days ago he asked me for advice on how to make a regulation algorithm... We quickly found examples of the right code available on the web, and when I asked him yesterday if this part of the software is ready, he said he was still dealing with the mathematical function to write the code himself: he didn't use the ready-made code, his argument was simple - "after I'd do it, it would be my valuable experience".

I thought at the time that each of us was gaining such experience throughout our lives and that we had probably done the right thing in creating our own production in Ukraine without having such plans in the first place, but how difficult it turned out to be!

When we ran out of money and it became clear that we couldn't survive without starting to sell some cameras. Hoping that this would solve the problem and we would fulfill our commitments to our backers.

We are very grateful to those of you who agreed to pay extra for the delivery, which also saved us a significant amount of money and allowed us to ship the 2000 cameras in August.

Today, after zero sales during August and September, we don't have enough to cover all current expenses - people's salaries, taxes, components, etc.

Out of 8279 cameras for our backers, we've already shipped 5847 cameras. We have to ship 2432 more to fulfill this project. After that, we plan to replace the reported 173 faulty cameras.

We now have 1069 cameras ready in our warehouse and we've got to manufacture 1363 more to ship the remaining cameras to our backers.

Commitment to those who supported us proved to be a solid foundation for our perseverance. We can't let you down, and even when we don't have the resources, for us, the success of this project is ultimately a matter of reputation and self-respect!

Unfortunately, our personal financial resources are exhausted, and we still lack the resources to fulfill our obligations.

We are now asking for your advice: being in a critical financial situation, and one step away from fulfilling this project, we see that we have 2 options:

1. To continue slowly shipping all the remaining rewards.

2. To launch a new campaign for the square format camera and use a part of the raised funds to complete our obligations in this campaign.

We will only launch a new campaign in case we receive your support and approval.

We've developed a new camera made of solid and durable materials in a classic design that we are sure everyone will love, it is an instant camera for the square format with automatic exposure and a flash. Below are a few photos to help you understand what we are talking about, most of the elements of this camera are already produced by us - they are used in the cardboard Jollylook mini.

By using only a portion of the funds raised from the campaign for these cameras, we will be able to replenish the working capital deficit and meet our commitments.

We already have the necessary equipment for manufacturing.

I appeal to those who supported us: Kickstarter is a unique place, people here risk and share the enthusiasm of others.

Many of you may be disappointed with the long wait or dissatisfied with the result of our work, others look at our story as a fascinating film with an unpredictable outcome.

It's not really a story about a camera... It's a story about gaining experience, about mistakes, about struggle and perseverance, and mo matter what - we will fulfill our obligations!

We are very much counting on your support and approval, and we ask you to leave your opinion and take the survey by clicking this link.

Also, since many backers have asked us to sell the development unit separately for their custom DIY cameras, we start selling them for today on our website.

We once again Thank You.

All of you will receive your rewards!

We thank you for your patience and for sharing your emotions, even when some of you are unhappy with us.

Without you, this project would not be possible, and because of you, it will succeed.

We will keep you updated on our progress.

THANK YOU!

Until next time,

The Jollylook team.
