- Is the Jollylook Pinhole Instant Film camera assembled or a DIY Kit?
You can choose between a DIY kit for self-assembly or a pre-assembled pinhole camera.
- Do I need additional tools to assemble the Pinhole Instant Film Camera DIY kit?
All you need is one Philips head PH0 screwdriver. Everything else is included in the kit.
- How do I assemble the Jollylook DIY Pinhole Instant Film Camera Kit?
An instructions manual is included with each kit, but if you prefer to watch a video, we have a detailed step-by-step video you can follow along with the assembly process.
- What age is the Jollylook DIY Pinhole Instant Film Camera Kit for?
The recommended age for self-assembly is 14+, but an adult can have a great time assembling it with your 7-14-year-old child.
- Fasteners Required for the Assembly of the Jollylook Building Set of the Vintage-Style Pinhole Instant Film Camera Kit:
M2x6mm - Standard, with 50 pieces in the set, required for assembly.
M2x8mm - 2 pieces, included in the 4th module, to attach the front cover to the body.
M2.5x12mm - 1 piece, referred to as "LONG," needed to screw the planetary gear in the exposure calculator on the rear cover.
INSTANT FILM
- What type of film do the Jollylook Cameras work with?
All our cameras are compatible with Fujifilm’s Instax film, which is readily available worldwide and comes in color or monochrome. Depending on the type of camera, if it is a SQUARE camera, the film is Instax SQUARE format; if it is a Mini camera, the film should be in Mini format.
- What is the main difference between the Pinhole Mini and Square Instant Film Camera Kits?
The primary difference between the Pinhole Mini and Square Instant Film Camera Kits is the film format. The Mini camera is compatible with Instax Mini film, while the Square camera uses Instax Square film. Below is an image comparing the sizes (in inches) of the two formats.

- Does the Jollylook EYE: Smartphone Instant Photo Printer work with all smartphone models?
The EYE is compatible with any smartphone or screen. You simply adjust the image you want to print on the screen, and it captures exactly what fits within its frame. For the best results, make sure the screen brightness is set to the highest level so that the image is printed clearly and beautifully. You can also watch a video tutorial on how to use it here.
- Are the Jollylook cameras easy to use?
Yes, Jollylook cameras are designed to be user-friendly for beginners and photography enthusiasts.
But, please keep in mind that Jollylook cameras are analog, therefore they will need some attention and persistence in order to master taking great photos.
It is challenging at first. Rewarding when you manage to get a great picture. It is experimental and fun!
For best results, We recommend taking the first photos outdoor, in good lighting conditions.
It's important to accurately calculate the exposure time. You can refer to this exposure table.
Additionally, it is necessary to develop the photo properly. Since the development is done manually, we highly recommend spinning the crank slowly and evenly, especially as you reach the final stages when the film comes out.
- Why is my photo too dark?
A dark photo means that it is underexposed. It's essential to calculate the exposure time accurately. If you are taking photos indoors with tinted windows, getting a good photo may take 30-40 minutes of exposure.
For best results, we recommend taking the first photos outdoors, in good lighting conditions.

- Why is my photo too white?
If your photo is too white - it is overexposed. In this case, you should reduce the exposure time. Our eyes are great at automatically adjusting to the sun’s blazing light, but our cameras are not quite as adept.
Firstly, we recommend reading this tutorial to ensure proper exposure.

SHIPPING
- Do you offer international shipping?
Yes, we provide international shipping to most countries, with the exception of Russia. Shipping charges will be calculated and displayed at checkout. Please ensure that your billing and shipping address are accurate to avoid any delivery issues.
- How long does it take to process and ship my order?
We typically process orders within 1-3 business days. Please note that orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays. We will notify you via email or telephone if there are any delays.
- How can I track my order?
Once your order has shipped, you will receive a Shipment Confirmation email with your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours, allowing you to track the progress of your package.
- Are there any additional fees or taxes for international orders?
Any customs duties or taxes applied to your international order are the customer's responsibility. Jollylook is not responsible for these fees, which may be imposed during or after shipping.
Customer support
- I accidentally broke one part. What should I do?
Don’t worry! We completely understand that there may be situations where parts break during the assembly. That's why we've included a set of spare parts in each kit. If you broke a piece that is not included, we will ship you a replacement. Be sure to specify the country of origin is SK (Slovakia) and make it clear on the invoice that it’s returned for repair. Please contact our support team by email at hello@jollylook.com or fill out the Google form.
- A part of the kit is missing or lost. What should I do?
We do our best to ensure this does not happen, but if you find out that part of your DIY Kit is missing, please contact our support team by email at hello@jollylook.com or fill out the Google form. We will ship you the missing part as soon as possible.
- What if my Jollylook product is defective or damaged?
If your Jollylook camera arrives defective or damaged, we will gladly replace it. Please contact us at hello@jollylook.com with your order details, and we will assist you with the exchange process. Be sure to specify the country of origin is SK (Slovakia) and make it clear on the invoice that it’s returned for repair.
- What is your return policy?
Our return policy is valid for 30 days. To qualify for a return, items must be unused and in their original packaging, accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase. Refunds are processed within a certain amount of days. Please note that sale items are not eligible for refunds, and shipping costs are non-refundable.
